According to the president of the Eastern Canadian Regional Council of the IWA, Jean-Marie Bedard, the workers will remain on the picket line not only in Whit- by but at four other Con- solidated plants as well until the ratification vote is taken. The resuits of the vote are expected to be tabulated toinorrow and should the of- fer be accepted, the workers could be back on the job Friday. The Whitby employees set up their picket line last Wednesday in protest of slow negotiations which have been going on since their last contract expired in November.
