Oldtimers took on the Whitby Service Clubs Frlday at the Ifouols arena. Paul Windover and Todd Wilson were on the line of youngsters that Whitby brought on the ice late in the first period to give the Oldtimers some young and fast competition. Durlng the intermnission the fans were entertained by cheerleaders from Henry and Anderson High schools. The cheerleaders dlsplayed their -hockey ability in a scoring com- petition similar to the N.H.L. showdown. Henry high won the coin- petition and received the Peacock Family Sports trophy. = Early in, the second. period. Wayne -Moulton scored for the Oldtimers. Also contributing goals were Bob Wail, George Morrison and Norm UlIman. Scoring for Whitby were Bil Shaw and John Nestic. Bob Wall, Sid Smith, Ivan Irwin, BobRobertson, Harry Pirdhirny, Pete Conacher and George Morrison scored a goal a piece for the N.H.L. Old- timers in the third period. Scoring for Whitby were Bill Shaw, Grant Lawson and Garry Clarke. The antics of the N.H.L. Oldtimers delighted the fans young and old. High,,scorer for Whitby was Tracy Morash with3 goals and i assist. Tammy Baites and Julie Donaldsonr each hit for 2 goals and i assist. Ann Windover con- tributed i goal. Also getting assists for Whitby were Mary-Lou Spencer and Angela Stoute.' Th e Whitby petite girls are having a very suc- cessful season displaying a unified tearn effort with some outstandig in- dividual performances by Tracy Morash, Tammy Baites and Julie Donald- son. Blades Ini girls hockey action the Whitby, Blades were' defeated by the Thornhill Red Devils on Sunday, by a score of 6 to 2. Scoring for the Blades were Karen Mallony unassisted and Julie Ran- dail assisted by Fiona Skurjat.
