The Emnployment Tax Credit Program is con- tinuing to be well received by Durham Region- Employers with 217 contracts being approved during thée four month period ending 31 JuIy. The "Job Experience'Train- ing" Program (JET) which ended 31 May, resulted in a total of 246 youths being placed with localemployers. Employers are, reminded that the "iCanada Works" program for ý,Ontario has been cancelled for 1979. Ambulance report Whitby' Ambularice Service responded to 51 cails for the week ending at mid- night Sunday, August il. They responded to 44 routine caîls, 24 of which were stand-by for Oshawa and Ajax ambulance service and 20 were of a non-urgent nature.
