Relaxing in a pool is a good way to relieve the tensions of the day. A lane will be set up for those adults who are interes- ted in keeping in shape. The Aquatic Director hopes that with the reduced- admittance price of 50 cents per person during the aduit swim, people will be encou- raged to corne out to swim and lounge around the pool. The Durham Region Fami- ly YMCA has also reduced their price for aduit lessons. It now costs $7 for 4 weeks of swimming instruction with classes on Monday, Wednes- day and Friday. Classes will be instructed at 11:30 a.m. and #:30 p.m. The emphasis in these classes will be stroke impro- vement for the swimmer levels and the basic's of swimming for thebeginners. Council meets Julyý 23 .The existing policy of the Council to suspend its regu- lar Committee and Council meetings during the n-onths of July and August was approved for-this summer. The meetings of the Town Council and its Committees are suspended for the months of July ýand August with an exception. That is a special meeting of Council in Committee-of- the-Whole be held on Monday JuIy 23. The purpose of the meeting is to receive reports from the various departments and other business items. There is a proviso which permits the calling of special Council meetings at the pleasure of the Mayor. Also that any meetings of the Administrative and Ope- rations Committees may be held at the caîl of the Chair during the months of July and August. 1If such a meeting is requi- red the date would be pre- determined and aIl members of Council, advised as to the date and time of the prospec- tive meeting.
