Police said that taken from the home of John Kirouac of R.R. 2 Whitby, were two rifles, a tape player, a wallet and assorted change. They did not say how entry to the home was made. Police report the theft of a five-speed bicycle from a garage on Balwin. Street, Brooklin. Police state that it is too bad the bicycle owners don't keep a record of the bicycle serial numbers. This is the onlv way the police can track down the stolen bicycle and return it to the owner. . If the owners would keep a record of the serial numbers of their possessions it would facilitae the prevention of goods being stolen and give the Police an opportunity to return the stolen articles to the righful owners. Often the police receive a report of a bicycle being' found.
