WEINER ROAST On May 21 at 1 p.m., Brooklin T.V. and Radio will hold a weiner roast for the children of Brooklin. Coffee and donuts will be served to the adults. There will be free prizes. Everyone is welcome. SPRING FAIR MEMBERSHIPS Admission memberships for the Brooklin Spring Fair are available at Brooklin Pro Hardware, the Emporium and Short's Pharmacy. Adults $3. Juniors (12-18 years old) $1.50. This entitles bearers to admission at any tme during the fair. BED AND BATHTUB RACE Entries are being taken for the Annual Bed and Bathtub Race to be held June 3. The categories are Open Class and Powder Puff and entries are to be submitted by June 1. Cash prizes will be awarded for best entry and most humorous. Trophies will be given for 1st prize. MISS BROOKLIN PAGEANT The Brooklin Spring Fair Pageant being sponsored by the Brooklin and District Kinette Club, will be held Thursday, May 31, at the Brooklin Arena. Entertainment will be provided by the Lighthouse Gospel Singers, who perform a variety of music by singing rock, folk and country songs. The contestants will be accompanied by organist Irwin Smith, during the program which includes public speaking and a talent portion (poetry recitation), dancing, singing, instru- mentals, etc.) Karen Powell, a dance instructor 'from.Whitby, will also entertain. The purpose of the pageant (not a beauty contest) is to choose a local young lady to represent Brooklin at various functions throughout the year, ie. Agricultural Society Convention, the Sweetheart of the Fair Pageant at the C.N.E., câdSt local parades, etc. (Al functions are well chaperoned). The prizes consist of jewellery, cosmetics, cash luggage, perfume, etc. for all winners. Miss Brooklin will be given, a Teen Beauty Course through Eleanor FUlcher Ltd. in Toronto.
