We ignore the Provincial picture as a wholeand lump ail their administrative holocosts financially in one bag and dump it as a portrayal of the National Debts when in fact the Federal picture is not adjudicated in this manner. In other words to sum up - just compare the Provincial Regional debts of Ontario with the National Federal Govern- ment debts. Compare the following figures and note that Canada comes out pretty well to say the least. Canada's debt per capita is the lowest of the following countries. The.Netherlands has the highest. National Debts: 1. Canada 2. Finland 3. Japan 4. Sweden 5. U.S.A. 6. Belgium 7. Netherlands Germany's not calculated at this time. Many municipal and provincial governments are at a loss as how to explain why their debts are in some cases double the federal debt. Our National Debt has shrunk from 71 per cent to 18.09 per cent in the past28years. G.N.P. statistics show that Provincial and Municipal governments have increased their figures more than the Federal Government. More to come next week, from Statistics Canada.
