Many communîty groups have entertainedi or will entertain at the Lodge durinig December. The Canadian Scottish Club of Whitby held a Pub Night at Fairview Lodge Dec. 13, , and. the. Good Companions Senior Citizens' Club, which meets at the lodge, held its annual Christ- mas dinner in the auditorium Dez. 14. Lodge hairdressers Doris Severs and Pauline Manning give a Christmas party for ail lady residents Dec. 15. The Whitby Salvation Army distributed Christmas treats on Dec. 16 and the following day, members of the Emmanuel Reformed Church held carol singing in the halls. Dec. 18, 30 to 60 young éhildren from Frenchman's B3ay Sehool provided entertainment in the auditor- ium. The same day the FEmigraùts' Theatre Group provided a play. Craft supervisor Dorothy, Foster's annual Christmas party for her workers was held yesterday. The same day thé Whitby Kinsmen Club held a Christmas ýwine and cheese party for the Fairview Lodge residents. Today the students of St. Theresa's Sehool were' carolling and serving lunch. The Lodge's annual Christ- mas party for ail residents will be held Thursday and. 'Friday with wine and cheese Legion The Royal Canadian Legion l3ranch'112 will be holding its annual New Year's Eve dance, Dec. 3 at the legion hall on Byron Street South. The dance will start at 8 p.m. and continue into the-New Year, ending at i a.mn. A hot and cold buffet will be served with the usual array of 'party favors.
