The èmployees of Nurse Chevrolet Oldsmobile Ltd. pledged 44 per cent above their target., and Ferrco Engineering staff were 30 per cent over. Whitby Corporate doiia- tions as of last week had reached $34,730,112 per cént 0f their goal. Whitby employee contributions were $8, 174, marking 26 per cent of their goal. Personal gifts from Whitby amount to $5,030, 106 per cent of their Taxi stolen A taxi owyned by a local taxi firm vanished from the Dr. J.O. Ruddy Hospital grounds during the weekend. It didn't really vanish; it was stolen from the Hospital grounds while the driver Lee James Caskey, Brock street north, Whitby was out of the vehicle. When lie returned to where he had left the car, it was gone, Police said. About 10 minutes after the taxi had been reported stolen it was seen by the Ontario Provincial Police, Whitby Detachmnent, on the 401 High- way. fIe OPP arrested William Cutier of Beaverton.
