BANTAM On Aug. 30 at Peel Park, Carretto Restaurant and Tavern shut out Peter- borough 8-0 with three goals each by Bill Lamont and Rich Greaves and one each by Peter Beaudry and Ray- mond Borg. Goaltender Warren Subject got the shut- out. .The haîf-time score was 7-0 for Whitby, as Peterborough played throughout the game with only nine men. Whitby played with only 10 men for the second haîf after one card just before haif-time. PEE WEE On Sept. 5 at Peel Park, the Oshawa Rangers defeated Whitby's Longmuir Builders 5-3. Whitby scorers were Fred D'Andrea with one. -goal, and Bobby Sherman with two. Haîf-time score was 1-1. Whitby had most of the play in the first haîf but it was Oshawa that scored first against the run of play. In the second haif, the visitors scored after only' two minutes, but one minute later Whitby equalized. At the eight-miniute mark, Oshawa went 3-2 up but again only held the lead for approximately 60 secon ds. SWith 22 minutes left in the game, Kelly Cook scored his second goal of the evening for Oshawa, which proved to be the winner. Whitby finished the league schedule with seven wins, four losses and a tie for 15 points, and should be good enough for second place. The team scored 49 goals and had 24 scored against them. Paul Hunt, after some early jitters, played an excellent garne, and àarry Power was his usual steady self at centre haîf.
