Easter Sunday fails on March 26 this year and the Rotary Club of Whitby's campaign chairmian, Mirn Caiger, feels that having the carpagn period inchidc tallc to unions, service clubs and other agencies, riot otily in the Durham Region, but in the Peterborough-Lindsay'area and Trenton'Bolieville. The -foundationl, under president Garry Kent, is a non-profit organization set up to assi'st comnxunity groups to deveiop non-profit "afford- able" housing sucb as senior iizn'homes native hous- ing, ' homes for the handi- capped or for people who wa.nt the security of a closed mortgage without any in- crease in mo nthly payments unless they agree to-it. Whithy currentiy has two co-operative housing projects: Aithol Green and, the East Whitby Co-operative. An- other co-operative located near Anderson Street is plan- ned for later this year. . A 'co-operative housing project, is completely under control of the residents fromn its inception. They' hire the builders, design the units and own it frorn the start. Police arrestý teenagers *Durham Regionai Police liave arrested four teen-agers and charged them with a total of 17 counts of break, enter and theft or break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. .Arrested are: Josevh Stephen Craggs, 16, of 605 Dunlop St. W. Christopher Richard Crowliak, 16, of 120 Calais St; Joseph Keith Light- izer, 16, of 603 Gilbert St. W. and a I 5-year-old boy.
