This one-ring. circus, located in a tent whiich seats 1,000 people, will be set up at Iroquois Park fromn Juiy 29 to Aug. 1 , as a project of the Whitby Chainher of Commerce. Show limes are: 7:30 p.m. on Julv 29; 1 p.n. 3 pa.l. and 7:30 p.m. on July 30; 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.mi. on July 31; and 3:30 parn. and 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 1. Forms may be obtained by calling the carnival secretary, Mildred Woodward at 655-4525 or at the park on the day of the rally. Entries are taken at 9 a.m. and the raliy starts at 10 a.m. The rally is a 60-mile, two-hour event, with the emnphasis on fun and enjoy- ment for the competitbrs. No special rally equipmnent is needed, but a driver's licence is required. Route instructions are basic and easy to follow. Driving s1kill test Whitby area drivers wili have an opportunity to test their ability at handling a car, at the County Tolwn Carnival driving skill test July 23 at the lroqtibis Park parking lot. Entrants in this open class amateur event can register on the spot, any time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and qualify for trophies and other prizes. The skill test, which takes the form of a slalom race, requires the driver to follow an obstacle course marked out with pylons. If the driver knocks down pylons, ho loses points. Also he is working against the dlock to complote the course in the shortost tinie with the least amounit of lost points.
