PAGE 9 Whitby bidren win field day awards 50 YEARS MARRIIED Dan and Anne Batherson, of 213 Byron Street South, celebrated their 5th anniversary with a party given by their sons and daughters at the Legion- Hall Saturday. They were married at Detroit, Michigan, on lune 21, 1927 at St. Vincent's Church. The Bathersons have lived in Whitby for 21 years, and for 16 years previously je Ajax. Mr. Batherson was the'superintendent for building Highway 401 through Whitby in 1947, and from 1959 to 1969 worked for the maintenance departmnent of the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital. The Bathersons have six children and 15 grandchildren. An! interesting note -in their family history is that Mrs. Batherson's parents were married for 64 years.
