Whitby was out of E.O.B.A. competition for two seasons and it is quite evident that it can be a long way back, when a club has to field a teamn of almost ail untried rookies. Although the club has not been too impressive in'the won-lost colurnn the players are learning and improving and they are enjoying their season immensely. In the game against Oshawa a total of 41 hits were pounded out in the 23-22 contest which are almost basketball figures. Osha,'a scored a whopping 16 runs in the fifth to corne from behind a 14-2 deficit and take the lead. Jef f Haley, Scot McGibbon, Raymond Ryan, Gordon Muschett, Bill Callan, Doug McCorkell and Greg lannarilli were the leaders in the hitting department for the K of C's in the free swinging affair. The statistics becamne a ittie more believeable in the game with Bowmanville which ended with the K of C squad on the short end of the 12-11 count. The two clubs matched lits with eight safeties each, but walks played an important part in the scoring with total of twenty free passes in the game. Jeff Haley, Scot McGibbon, Ray Ryan, Bill Callan and Paul Gest picked hits. BANTAM At Ri7erside Park in Peter- borough the WVhitby Bantam Cont'd on P. Il'
