MINOR MIDGET On Feb. 1 at Ajax, Ajax defeated the Whitby Mary Browns 4-2.- Whitby goals were scored by Ed Derks and Ray McWhirter. On Feb. 5 at Iroquois Park, the Mary Browns lost to Bay Ridges by the samne score, with their only goals being scored by Keith Wilson and Jeff Fleming. Both Bay Ridges and Whitby completed their Round Robin series with two points apiece, and had to play an extra gaine Feb. 7 to determine which one wvould play Ajax in the next round. In this deciding gaine, the Mary Browns defeated Bay Ridgyes 8-5 with four goals by Ed Derks, and one each by Ray McWhirter, Noel Catte rail, Keith Wilson and Dennis Jacobs. In the fîrst of the best of seven playoff games,the Mary Browns defeated Ajax 6-4 Feb. 8 at Ajax, with four goals by Ed Derks and one each by Keith Wilson and John Paul Aggett. MAJOR MIDGET At Iroquois Park on Feb. 5, Ferrco Engineering defeat- ed Bay Ridges 5-3 with goals by Greg Tushingham, John Waddell. David Seymour, Derrick Minaret and Jack Cooper. MAJOR BANTAM On Jan. 7 Bay Ridges trounced Whitby Toyota 5-1, under rather unusual circurn- stances. Bay Ridges was already through, Whitby had defeated Ajax twice but these games were under protest. If. the protest is upheld, Whitby will have to play again twice but if the protest is over-ruled, Whitby will play Bay Ridges in the next round.
