Scoring for Whitby were Blair Haslam (4), Kelly O'Connor (3), Billy O'Meara (3), Greg Roberts (3), Grant Reveler, and Scott Helmer. Goalie Colin Haisell got the shut-out. In a Pee Wee No. 2 exhibition game, Bibeau Construction Beavers tied Oshawa - LNIIL 6-6',. with Whitby goals by Wayne Misselbrook (2), Ken Lynde (2); Greg Cibson and Mark Petrie. In Minor Bantam play, the Brooklin-Whitby Optimists- defeated Cobourg 6-3, with goals by Randy Taylor, Tod Chasczewski, Don Perkins, John Fusco, Warren Subject and Grek Platt. During the past two winters, participants in Whipper Watson's annual Snowarama for Timmy have raised over 250,000 for the Ontario Society for Crippled Children, Top honours went to Mrs. Fern Bodrug of Thunder Bay with pledges totalling $4,355 next highest was Mr. Don Bumstead of Meaford. Snowa'rama is sponsored by the Ontario Society in association with Snowmobile clubs, individual snôwmobilers, the Ontario Snowmobile Distributors Association and participating Easter Seal Service Clubs. The host Snowmobile Clubs for the Bradford Snowarama are Aurora, Bradford, C.C. Riders of Oak Ridges, Georgina, Newmarket, Orangeville and South Shore snowmobile club of Keswick. Proceeds raised by Snow- arama are equally divided between local Easter Seal Clubs and the Society to suppoTt its rehabilitation pro- gram both at local and regional levels. In addition to raising funds, Snowarama is designed to show that in responsible hands, snowmobiles provide safe and enjoyable winter recreation without causing damage to the environment. Fourteen 100 mile courses are again being planned, these are in the Bradford, Bruce Peninsula, Cochrane, Corn- wall, Eganville, Haliburton- Minden, Kirkland Lake, Mildmay-Chesley, Prescott- Brockville, Sault Ste Marie, Smith Falls-Kemptville, Sud- bury, Thunder Bay, and Timmins areas. There is the possibility of six additional courses in other districts for. next winter. Most if not all these rallies will be held on Sundays during the month of February 1977. The Bradford Snow- arama will be held February 13, 1977 registration froin 8 a.m. to 1 am. at Varley's Marina. Pledge sheets may be obtained by contacting one of the host clubs or your local Easter Seal Service Club, the Whitby Rotary Club. CBC team wins one, loses one at Picton The Brooklin-Whitby CBC Juvenile hockey team gave a lesson in solid positional play in the Picton Kinsmen Juvenile Hockey Tournament Saturday. The CBCs won their first game against the Toronto Olympics 2-1, with goals by Dan Kemp and Garry Bruce. Andy Tensigni scored for Toronto. The game was tied one-all at the end of regulation play. A 10-minute stop time period was then played and the score remained tied. This was followed by a 10-minute sudden death overtime period with the goalies removed.
