Ruddy General Hospital to co-operate in another sphere of activities, according to Staff-Liner, the psychiatric hospital's newsletter. "First it was the sharing of Laboratory Services which has been very successful and has resulted in saving for the Ministry of Health and irnproved services and efficient use of resources for the parti- cipating hospitals", says the newsletter. The latest development is the, recent transfer of morgue facilities from WPH to the Ruddy Hospital, with both hospitals sharing the new facility. WPH Management Services Officer Arjun Patil, after con- ducting a feasibility study, recommended shared services. Mr. Patil sees the following benefits resulting- from the shared service: - efficient use of resources. - modern facilities. - improved and effective service as both laboratory and morgue services will be located adjacent to each othe r. - because of the ready avail- ability of the facilities, an increase in the opportunities to use autop- sies as an educational ser- vice.
