Gord Hanna, a mrember of the Downtown Action Com- mittee's sub-cornmittee which was asked to corne up wîth a hypothetical budget for the rejuvenation prograrn, said "Thie return to you people will be greater than your investmnent". "I doubt whether there is a person who wiil make a contribution who won't be rewarded for it", he said. Brian Catchpole and Mandy Crawford feit likewise, saying that the rejuvenation should and xviii take in the entire downtown area, flot just srnall pockets therein. Bob Catton, who has been working for rejuvenation for several years, agreed, saying "If we are going to do any- thing for Whitby, it 15 Up to ail of us" because, as Mr. Collins said "The Town of Whitby deserves a better downtown". Tom Edwards, Whitby Councii's representative on DAC, said of the rejuvenat ion proposai "The committee is convinced or its value to the community and the business people.
