Not so with the recently opened West Lynde Drive-In Burger, adjoining a service station at 411 Brock Street South. Before opening the restaurant on Septemnber 16, the owners, John Kotsopoulos and George Zigomanis, spent a lot of time and înoney cleaning away the after effeets of the garage and sprucing the place up with a new floor, walls and ceiling. They have donc a good job. It is now pretty hard to believe that, at one time, grease covered mnech-'nids were doing their thing there. In 1948, Mr. Rich and Mr. Bonnetta started the trucking business with two trucks, one of which they still own. The company today hias 63 ernployees, 54 cars and trucks and 70 trailers. Tie transfer of Mr. Richi's shares to Mr. Bonnetta and his four sons, Bill, Stuart, Johin and Harold Jr. took place Sept. 24. Mr. Rich is retiring, fromn the trucking business, says Mr. Bonnetta, but will be carrying on his rnany other business interests in the WVhitby area. B & R Transport, which hias maintaîned ils biead office, terminal, warebouse and nmccbanics shiop on Hopkins Street since 1 966, is a dry freight carrier from Oshawa, Withy, Port Perry and Ajax t0 aIl points in Ontario South of North Bay. The cornpany also main- tains a terminal at Consoli- datcd Bathurst in Wiîby, and lias been the sole carrier of that company's goodssince 1968. Both Mr. Bonnetta and Mr. Richi have been actively involved in comrnunity affairs in Whitby for many years. Both are past Kinsmen and boîli were founidîng memibers of the Whitby Curling Club.
