NOVICE *Dominion Caulking trounced Cobourg 7-I on threc goals by David McWhirter, two by Greg Roberts and singles by Doug McCorkell and Chris Daley. Paul Anderson replied for the losers. MINOR ATOM The Whitby Mail Florists scored a 5-2 decision over visiting Markham as Joey Nieuwendyk scored twice and Gary Roberts, Dave Sachko and Billy Callan added singles. Jason Adamison and Danny O'Brien scored for Markhami. PEEWEE The major pccwce Lasco Steelers downed Bay Ridges 5-3 as Warren Subjeet and Stu Catteraîl each scored twiee and Larry Herotix ontce. Craig Kitchener, Dave Kemp and Bobby Graham replied for Bay Ridges. In an exhibition contest, the Ontario Regiment Major Peewee Seleets edged the minor peewee Aqualine Pools 3-2 on goals by Lonnie Foskett, David Kellock and Greg Gibson. Danny Garrard and Paul Rich replied for the losers. MINOR BANTAM Craig '4esketh and Glenn Healy shared the shutout as Bay Ridges blanked Optimists' International 2-0 on goals by Joe Vernoy and Ken Van Tienan. MAJOR BANTAM Iroquois Pro Centre over- came a 1-O deficit to trounce Bay Ridges 11-1 as Dennis Jacobs scored three times, Keith Wilson and John Paul Aggett twice each and Ed Derks, Nick Nowosenko, Bob Chambers and Mike Piho once each. R. Kitchen scored in a losing cause. MINOR MIDGET ý & Mary Brown's edged Bay Ridges 3-2 on two goals by Greg Tushinghamn and one by Dave Seymour. -Steven Black and CI-iis Littimore found the' range for Bay Ridges. In an exhibition contest against Bownianville, Mary The Brooklin-Whitby Consolidated Bulding Corpor- ation Juvenile Alîstars gained an even split in ticee recent gamnes -- winning one, losing one and tying one. In a reschieduled match played in Cobourg, the C.B.C.'s camne up withi an imipressive 7-3 victory over the hosts. Todd Casey, Jim De'Mille, Don Gallogley, Dan Jordan, Glenn Kiazie, Joe Mlntyre and Ed Szczur'scoed for the winners. John Roffey, with two, and Steve Witteveen replied for Cobourg. ln a contest at Iroquois Park Arena, Ajax gave the C.B.C.'s a lesson in fore- checking and discipline, taking the gamne by a 5-3 count. The persistent fore- checking forced the locals into mnistakes which in turn caused thcrn to take toomany penalties. AlI of Ajax goals *were scored on the powerplay. Mark Ariss did the miost damage for Ajax as he notched two markers whilc Robin Barnes, Doug Edwards and George Wiles fired singles. Glen Johnston and Joe Mclntyre shared the losers' goals. In their last regular season game, the C.B.C.'s had to settle for a 6-6 draw in a game played at the Hampton Arena. With less than two minutes remnaining, it appeared that' the C.B.C.'s had ended on a winning but a questionable interference penalty put themn at a disadvantgge. With the ensuing face-off in the visitors' end, o anie pulled their goaltender in favor of the extra attacker 1and the mnove ilaid off as, 1with 44 seconds left tc play, 1they scored the equalizers. Brown's hetd tie lead throughout enroute to a 5-4 victory on balanced scoring. Nick Fisher, John Waddell, James Roach, Greg Tushing- ham and Rick Nieuwendyk got the winners' goals. Lasco Steel follows with 14 point> on fîve wîns, four tics and three losses while scoring 50 goals and allowing 37. Fireplace Plus have scored 50 times and been scored on 49 in their six wins and six losses, good enough for 12 points. In the nminor atoni division, the Whitby Mail Florists, with shutout goaltending by Steve Gibson and Paul Guest, bianked Syracuse 8-0 as Joey Nieuwendyk fired a hattrick, Gary 'Roberts tailied a pair and Dave Donaldson, Mark Farrel- d Joey McCollough netted singles- The foliowing day the Florists again humiliated Syracu-.c, this time by a 9-2 score. Gary Roberts and Raymond Ryan each scored three goals for the winncrs Dave Donaidson and ioey Nicuwendyk. Kevin O'Shea scored Syracusc's goals. The ()ntario Regiment Peewee Sclects doublcd the score on their southern opponients, winning 6-3. The hosts spread the scoring through their roster as Mike Mowat, Charlie Connor, SCott Burns, Ricky McCoy, Lonnie Foskctt and Jiîn Forbes found the range. Kevin- Tregin, Larry Wclsh and Biliy Bergan repiied for the losers. Lonnie Foskett scored threc times and Jim Forbes twice as the Ontario Regiment whippcd Syrace 8-1, Ricky McCoy, Jack Peebles and Eric Wells added singles. John McCormich got the losers' only goal. Bow- Fcrrco Engineering trounced Lindsay 6-1 as AI MacDonald, Dean Seymour and Dean Sandrelli each- turned in two-goal performances.
