DENNIS O'CONNOR HIGH SCHOOL WIIITBY SANTA CLAUS P Saturday, December 6th - SECTION 0F WHITBY FbJNlA STWFTTi PARADE ROUTE 10 a.m. SANTA'S HOUSE 131 Brock St. N. open Dec. 6,11,13 & 18 to 20 This year the Whitby Jaycees Santa Claus Parade wiII be held on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. Marshalling time is 9: 15 a.m. Trophies or cash prizes wiII be awarded to the entrants of the best floats, bands and majorette groups. The prizes will encourage originality and entertaining holiday music. The parade is one of the Jaycees many community oriented projects and, judging (rom the expended effort so far, wil be a great success. One of the new ideas for the parade this year wiIl be the method of selecting the parade's Judges. The Ladies of Whitby are ;nvited to submit their names, addresses and telephone numbers by phoning 723-5748 or 668-2870. Three of the submitted niames wiIl be drawn from a hat for judging. The three ladies wiIl be awarded a special plaque by the iaycees to mark the event. This year Santa House wiIl be at 131 Brock Street North in Whitby, just north of the Brock Theatre at the former Guys & Dolis Biliard Parlour. Santa House wilI be open on December 6th, 11lth, l3th & 1l8th to 2Oth. Timies are A day Saturdays and evenings on weekdays. The Parade wiII be televised by Pine Ridge Cable T.V. Channel 6. DUNDAS ST.
