The test, which involves driving through a course marked out with pylons, will be taken on the site from 9:30 a.m. to l1 a.m., and the events get underway at noon. Speed and accuracy are the important factors in this test, as the driver is checked against the dock. The driver who gets through ithe course in the fastest time without knocking down any pylons is the winner. Special trophies wil be awarded in the various classes which are open to anyone, but prizes will be only for novices who have driven in such a skill test less than four times. No special equipment is required and any car can enter. Last year one enter- prising individual toured the course on a unicycle. The entry fee is $4. The Oshawa Motor Sport Club is sponsoring the driving skill test to encourage inter- est in motor sporting. Games night Games, fun and entertain- ment are tie order of the day at the Whitby Arts Station July 25 as the group kicks off tie County Town Carni- val proceedings with a games nigh t. The games night begins at 9 p.m. at the Station at Vic- toria and Henry Streets and will continue till1 a.m. Mayor Des Newman is expected to make the $1,000 lottery draw for ie Station some time during the evening and tickets will be on sale on the site up to that time.
