Free Press Photo by Mike Burgess Pool Cost L e ss The public works depart- ment announced some good news and some bad news to council recently regarding Iroquois Park Swimming Pool. 'First the good news. The town hias received a credit of $1 71 from tlhe contractor for the elirnination of anchors for stanchion posts. Now the bad news. An extra $1I58 is required for the installation of grilles to cover exhaust ducts in the pool area. This leaves a net credit of $13 to the town. The anchors for stanchion posts' were originally to be pîaced in the pool deck for crowd control, but upon further review of the situa- tion it was decided that these stanchion posts would flot be required. The original design of the building did not provide for grlles to cover the exhaust ducts and when the ducts were installed and it was in- spected, it' was the decision of the engineer to have grlles instaled over these duets. There are stili somne extras that have not been clarified to date and when they have, a further *report wilI be submiltted to the Operations Conimittee.;, ý Rcginald Davis, principal of the Ontario Ladies' Collegc and Mrs. Davis, Mrs. E.
