Mr. Rittgasser was placed on 18 months probation. The stipulations of his probation are that he report to the York County Probation Of- fice and flot to change bis address or place of employ- ment during that timne. The accused paid $350 for the snowmobile which was a new machine when taken from the Broolin firm, said Assistant Crown Attorney Neil McCrank. Mr. McCrank said that Mr. Rittgasser was trying to get a good bargain. He did pay for it not only by paying $350 he also is paying and will be paying for some time now that he has a court record said Mr. McCrank. On January 23, the police checked a car with a trailer travelling on the streets of Port Perry. The trailer con- tained a snowmobile, one of several items stolen from the Don Vallance flrm în Brook- lin. Mr. Rittgasser was the driver.of the car.
