James Whitby Free Methodist Church Who is right, what is truth is the old aged question that was asked by Pilate when Jesus stood before him on trial by the Sanhedrin Court. Today we are told by various leaders that what is morally right is basically the individuals personal matter. if you wish to damn Gods name and with you it is right, then this justify's it to you as right. Similarly if you wish to steal, kilI, committ adultery, the circumstance in your estimation warrants the action, situation etbics is your nonn. Has God changed, has his word clianged, indeed not. Tlhe Ten Commandments, Jesus command that you love God and your neighbor are the basic foundation of our society, areas relevant today as previous and always will be. The matter at band is, are you making yourself the god of command and direction or do you and 1 allow God to direct us personally. Often you hear it said that 1 do not want anyone telling me or my children what tbey may read or may flot, or what 1 do or may not do. It is the same old story. Adam and -Eve did not wisb to submit to authority as to what God instructed was good for them. God made man and lie knew the things hie rnust do to bring about success, bappin- ess in life and he knew where to erect the stop signs of which you and 1, if we ignore, will cause our- life to crash on the. banks of despair and destruction, just the same as if I ignore the traffic lights on our streets which will lead me to a crash and possible destruction or apprebension or arrest by our authorities of law.
