Mr. Beath, who fannis witb one of bis two sons in East Whitby township, is chairman of the Central Ontario Joint Planning Board. First elected to the East Whitby council in 1951, he was reeve fromn 1955 to 1959 and wanden of Ontario County duning bis final yean as neeve. Mr. Beatb bas been extensively involved in planning activities in Ontario County since 1965 and was chairman of tbe Osbawa Anea Planning and Development study.
