You should in- stead try the very reasonable hotels in the Taunus Mountains. These are ele- v a t i o n s up to 2800 feet (Feldberg) on t h e N o r t h e rn Horizon of Frankfurt, heavily wooded and for history fans as w e I I as nature explorers, a source of i n t e resting discoveries, let alone the m a g n i f icent moderate climate and the clearness and purity of the air, remind- ing youof the Laurentians of Muskoka. Yet, Frankfurt is only a stone's throw away and sightseeingcan be done easily by bus, streetcar or train, returning in theevening to the ozon-rich and cool ni g hts among whispering pine, spruce and beech. Those tourists who prefer to be in- dependent from a heavy itinerary most certainly would enjoy a vacation making their own discoveries, staying at pleas- and places at reasonable prices.
