Black and white photograph of John Batty.
Notes
John Franklin Batty was born near Brooklin on 14 October 1915 and took over the family farm, Crescent Stock Farm, in 1931, raising Clydesdale horses and Jersey cattle. He was a breeder, exhibitor, and livestock judge.

In 1954-55, Batty was president of the Clydesdale Horse Association of Canada and its representative to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair from 1949-1985.

Mr. Batty died at Whitby on 13 July 1995 and is buried in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin, Ontario.
