Notes
George Everett Quantrill was born at Toronto on 9 July 1925. His family moved to Whitby from Oshawa when his father was appointed police chief for the Town.

In 1944, Quantrill lost his right leg in a farming accident. He started work as a time-keeper for the Stokely Van Camp canning factory in 1944 and by 1954 was assistant manager of the plant.Four years later, Quantrill served as manager from 1958-1966.

In 1966, Quantrill was appointed superintendent of the new Ontario County Home for the Aged, Lakeview Manor at Beaverton. Previously, he served as chairman of the board of management for Fairview Lodge in Whitby. He retired in 1989.

From 1953-1957, Quantrill served as a Town Councillor, as Deputy Reeve from 1958-1959, and Reeve from 1960-1966.

Everett Quantrill died at Oshawa on 6 March 2012.
