- Margaret Broderick was born at Whitby Township, half a mile west of the Mackey home at lot 32, concession 2, on 12 July 1835. She married Sylvester Mackey on 22 Marcy 1858. She died at 1 January 1914 and is buried at Union Cemetery in Oshawa.
