Notes
The Monica Smith, owned by the Swedish Chicago Line, docket at Whitby Harbour on 28 July 1960. The crew unloaded a cargo of 700 tons of steel for facing the docks at the harbour.

The Monica Smith was the first ocean-going boat to come to Whitby Harbour through the St. Lawrence Seaway. The ship had a draught of 19 feet and the harbour was dredged to 25 feet. Her voyage began in Finland with stops in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Middlesborough and London.
