Description
Black and white negative showing E.L. Pritchard and G. McTaggart constructing the cake for the Whitby Centennial celebrations. The cake, with electric candles, was placed at Whitby's Four Corners for the Centennial. It was built in the Port Whitby Fire Hall and made of a piece of plywood that was 5 feet x 6 feet.
Notes
Whitby celebrated its Centennial of Incorporation as a town from 26 June to 3 July 1955.
