The University of Waterâ€" loo Warriors football team lost a tough one to the Ottawa Gee Gees Saturday to drop to 1â€"2 on the season. The Wartiors had the early 3â€"0 lead in the game, and a 18â€"7 lead/at the half. The University of Waterioo‘s womens fastball team hosted the first league tournament in Waterloo last weekend and finished with a strong 4â€"1 record, scoring 34 runs while only giving up six. The Warriors beat Brock 5â€"1 to open the tourâ€" nament. They then beat Windsor 6â€"1, WLU 11â€"1 (pictured above) and Western 11â€"1. The Warriors‘ only blemish was a tough 2â€"1 loss to the Guelph Gryphons. Nicole Ronald, Alexis Reid and Sara Winter turned in strong pitching performancâ€" es for Waterloo.
