Description
Man standing with two horses at the Schneider Stock Farm. Note sign behind him. Farm was located in the Bridgeport Road and Weber Street area.
Notes
John Metz Schneider worked in a button factory in Kitchener until, being laid off with an injured hand, he began making sausages in his home. Three years later he purchased a retail store next to his home on Courtland Avenue in Kitchener. J.M eventually took his four sons into the business and it was named J.M. Schneider & Sons Limited.

Stable for race horses built in 1888 by Joseph E. Seagram. Sold in 1937 to J.M. Schneider & Sons Limited and used as a stock farm. Sold for residential development in 1957 and demolished.
