- Alberta Mae Dotzert Ewald was born in Waterloo on February 9, 1891 and died in August 10, 1976. Her parents were Mary and Valentine Dotzert and she married Sherwood John Ewald in 1917. She was sister to Clayton Dotzert, founder of the Waterloo Siskins hockey team.
