- Advertisement card for David Bean & Sons, Limited, publishers of the Waterloo Chronicle newspaper and operators of the Chronicle Press printing company.
- Notes
- David Bean was Mayor of Waterloo from 1901 to 1903. In January 1889 he purchased the Waterloo Chronicle and in 1899 the Berlin Telegraph newspaper. Soon after the Telegraph's weekly edition was amalgamated with the Chronicle under the joint masthead Waterloo Chronicle Telegraph. He also started David Bean & Sons, Limited, printing company which was taken over by his sons Roy and Clyde until 1955 when they sold the newspaper and the business.
