Between 1899 and 1929 the former Kuntz Brewery used the rear warehouse to malt barley. Circa 1934 it was bought by Albert Snyder changing the name from Ewald Hotel to Kent. It was bought by John Adlys in 1954. In 1976 Bernie and Sonia Adlys bought it and began extensive restorations. In 1987 it was renamed the Huether Hotel.
