W., WARD 2 (NORTHWEST) Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Waterloo will hold a Formal Public Meeting on Monday, October 2, 2023, at a time to be determined, in the Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, Waterloo City Centre, 100 Regina Street South, Waterloo, to consider the above noted application to amend the Zoning By-law pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act. Canadian Tire is proposing to enlarge the existing store by constructing additions to the rear and side fagades. The garden centre will be relocated to another section of the parking lot to accommodate the addition. In support of the proposed development, the Applicant is requesting the following zoning amendments: © Increase the maximum floor area for a Home and Auto Supply Store to 9,681 square metres. Increase the total floor area for the property to 11,000 square metres. Reduce the street line setback along Erbsville Road from 7.5 metres to 4.5 metres © Reduce the landscape buffer along Erbsville Road from 6.0 metres to 4.5 metres, and permit a retaining wall, walkways, utilities, and signage within the buffer luired under Section 34 of The Planning Act, R.S. 0, 1990, as amended. It is expected that Council denied or amended. A copy of the staff report will be available prior to the Public Meeting. If Council approves the application, a by-law to amend the Zoning By-law will assed. Julie Finley-Swaren, City Clerk, City of Waterloo 66-786-3941 waterloo.ca features a pirate theme. 2 NEW SPLASH PADS TO OPEN Designs for two new splash pads in Wa- ferlooh have been selected with the help of of online votes and will go to ener tate this year, with construction expected to be completed by the summer of 2024, The splash pads will be located on the Eastbridge Green, 416 Eastbridge Blvd., and Blue Beech Link, 690 Laurelwood Dr. The winning design for Eastbridge in- cludes a pirate ship with a nest, a sea monster and small tipping buckets witha variety of spray features controlled with a push-button activator. The design for the Blue Beech Link ig water curtain, spray oe a a large dump- ing bucket, as well as other controlled spray features.
