The by-law, which comes into effect September 26th, 2022, applies to all new developments, or redevelopments, that are at least five storeys in height and add at least ten residential units, in accordance with the by-law. The by-law applies to all lands within the City of Waterloo and as such, a key map has not been provided in this notice. The amount of the community benefits charge is 4% of the value of the land that is the subject of the development or redevelopment on the day before the day the first building permit is issued in respect of the development or redevelopment.
