The applicant has applied to amend the City's Zoning By-law No. 2018-050 by rezoning the lands from Future Determination (FD) to Residential Four (R4) and Residential Eight (R8) with site specific regulations for reduced setbacks in specific yards. The applicant has also submitted an application to the Region of Waterloo for a Draft Plan of Subdivision (30T-21402). The purpose of the requested applications is to permit the development of a subdivision comprising low-density residential land uses (specifically a single detached dwelling and 28 townhouse dwelling units) and the extension of Pelham Street. This meeting shall constitute the formal public meeting required under Sections 34 and 51 of The Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended. It is expected that Council will decide whether the application should be supported, approved, denied or amended. TO SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENTS Written comments received before 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, will be included in the City Council Agenda. Written comments received after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, will be provided to City Council for consideration prior to the Formal Public Meeting, but will not be included in the Council Agenda. DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION 30T-21402 The Council of the Corporation of the City of Waterloo will be forwarding its recommendation onto the Regional Municipality of Waterloo for consideration.The Regional Municipality ofWaterloo will either approve or refuse the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in respect to the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision, you must make a written request to Ms. Kris Fletcher, Regional Clerk, and Mr. Rod Regier, Commissioner of Planning, Development and Legislative Services, Regional Municipality of Waterloo, 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario, N2G 4J3 A decision of the Council of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo may be appealed by making a written request to Ms. Kris Fletcher, Regional Clerk, 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario, N2G 4J3. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in respect to the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision does not make oral submissions at the public meeting, if one is held, or make written submissions to the Regional Municipality of Waterloo before the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision is approved or refused, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss the appeal. ZONE CHANGE APPLICATION Z-21-10 If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the City of Waterloo before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal. In addition, if a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Corporation of the City of Waterloo before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
