Peel Regional Police said the incident occurred in the area of Veterans Drive and Creditview Roa- d at around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30. It's alleged that four sus- pects, armed with guns, forced entry into a home. Police said four adults and three children were pre- sent in the home at the time. The suspects allegedly assaulted two victims and took property from the home. A 27-year-old man re- portedly sustained minor injuries. During the time of the incident, a uniformed offi- cer from 22 Division was on patrol in the area and stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked on the roadway outside the home. Police said the suspects fled the area on foot and that officers were able to locate and arrest a man. A 23-year-old Waterloo man has been charged with rob- bery, wear a disguise, imi- tation firearm -- use while committing offence, pos- session of property ob- tained by crime and breach of probation stemming from property-related of- fences near Thunder Bay. Police also seized the suspicious vehicle, a black four-door Kia Forte, which police said was reported stolen and believed to have been used by the suspects. Three additional sus- pects remain at large. They're described as men between the ages of 20 and 30, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts or jackets and dark pants. While politicians and law enforcement officials say homecoming in Water- loo's university district was relatively tame and quiet compared to years past, police still laid 165 charges. Those included 85 Li- quor Licence Act offences, 59 Highway Traffic Act of- fences and 15 criminal code and drug-related offences. There were also five ar- rests made, including one in relation to a stolen vehi- cle. On Sept. 25 at approxi- mately 11:30 p.m., police say a male driver fled a traffic stop and drove through fencing at both ends of Ezra Avenue. He then continued onto Union Street, where his vehicle struck a round- about at Margaret Avenue. Police say another male approached him as he at- tempted to flee. The driver threatened the victim with a knife and a physical alter- cation ensued and the vic- tim was able to restrain the driver until officers ar- rived.
