That's when City of Waterloo council approves the 2020 - 2022 operating and capital budgets. This three-year budget supports many important services and projects, including snow removal, sewer maintenance, fire protection, bylaw enforcement, road maintenance and repairs, parks, recreation, culture and leisure services. Stay involved! Various surveys and public engagements have been conducted by the city that have helped inform the proposed 2020 - 2022 budget, including feedback from close to 11,000 people who recently provided input into the 2019 to 2022 strategic plan. Between now and budget day on February 10, 2020, elements of the budget will be featured as part of the following regular council meetings: > January 13, 20, 27, 2020 Department business plans are presented to council > January 13, 2020 City utility rates are approved > February 3, 2020 Proposed capital budget is presented to council > February 10, 2020 Three-year operating and capital budgets for 2020 - 2022 are approved and a capital forecast for 2023 - 2029, in principle, is approved Residents are encouraged to attend these council meetings to learn more about the city's proposed budget. In addition, until January 11, 2020, we'll be hosting a public engagement survey to collect feedback from you regarding the priorities set through the proposed budget. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at a time to be determined The City ofWaterloo has initiated an Official PlanAmendment for the Erbsville South Area ofWaterloo.The city-initiated amendment would incorporate the Erbsville South Block Plan into the city's Official Plan. The Erbsville South Block Plan provides direction for how development and environmental protection will occur for the Erbsville South area. The Block Plan includes land use policies for permitted lands uses, environmental protection, open space and parks, transportation, active transportation connections (walking and cycling) and requirements for high quality design for development.
