The facility is intended to provide nec- essary fleet maintenance and storage to meet transit ridership goals as estab- lished in the region's transportation mas- ter plan. In anticipation of moving to- wards an electric bus fleet in the future, the design has capacity for a pilot pro- gram and the ability to phase-in expan- sion of electric buses with charging sta- tions. The project will also include a vegetat- ed green roof, water reclamation systems, LED lighting and energy recovery, as well as allowances for future solar panels, and is anticipated to achieve LEED silver cer- tification.
