This mind-bending puzzle will have you hooked from the moment you square off, so sharpen your pencil and put your sudoku savvy to the test! Here's How ItWorks: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle! Cr oss wo rd & Su do ku CLUES ACROSS 1. Database management system 5. Soft blue-gray mineral 11. Algerian coastal city 12. LOFT 106, the creation of Shelly Trotta and her daughters Katie and Amanda, offers unique and one-of-a-kind outfits and accessories for all oc- casions. "Brands you can't find in shopping malls," said Trotta, who many might know as the owner of Casa Rugantino restaurant in Belmont Village. "Women don't like going to the malls anymore," she said. Trotta still owns and op- erates her authentic Ital- ian eatery but said she de- cided to take on a new ven- ture with the help of her daughters after eight and a half years in the restau- rant business. She loves food, but she loves clothes too. "So here we are," she said earlier this month, in between checking in on customers during the grand opening of her wom- en's clothing store. "We needed more in this area," said Trotta, who also saw an opportunity with thousands of new condo units coming online in the area. LOFT 106 sells itself as a place to find just what you are looking for, "from your perfect day cream to your adorable date night outfit to the most luxurious PJs." The store features a clothing line from Spain as well as numerous other Canadian designers and manufacturers, with time- less, high-quality, yet af- fordable pieces to fit a vari- ety of styles. "You'll only find it in this area in this store," said Trotta. "Once we bring in a shipment in so many sizes and that's gone, it's gone." Trotta, a natural born host, believes shopping shouldn't be stressful and welcomes people not only to browse and shop. You might also find yourself sipping a clear drink in the lounge. The store is located at 192 King St. S, unit 106. Hours are Monday to Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit loft106.com for more information.
