Four All Ice Cream, a lo- cally-based business which began production in Kitch- ener in 2017, has plans to open up its first stand- alone retail location on Willis Way by the end of February. Owner Ajoa Mintah said Four All had been sell- ing cones out of its factory location on Whitney Place in Kitchener, yet despite 20- minute lineups that ex- tended to the parking lot, the business needed to con- vert the space for produc- tion of ice cream, now with 16 flavours made of all nat- ural, locally sourced ingre- dients. For a time, Four All op- erated a stand inside the Graffiti Market at Cata- lyst137, as well as a popup location in downtown Kitchener last summer. Those experiences were eye-openers for Mintah, who believes the business benefited from creating a presence in the communi- ty. Mintah wanted a store- front central to the com- munity along the King Street corridor and said the perfect space presented itself inside the former Xclusive Elements gift/ clothing shop, which moved out last year. "I live in Waterloo, so I'm excited to have a space in the uptown," she said. "It's a community hub. That's where the town square is that's where the skating is and where a lot of festivals and events occur." The retail location will offer cones and sundaes, along with homemade so- das and floats. The gluten-free waffle cones are baked in-house and Mintah said Four All has also developed a taco. She hopes people will come out to try one, even if it is still cold outside. "We think ice cream should be celebrated year- round, so we're happy for a winter open," she said. The address is 75 King St. S., Unit 56.
