When it comes to conditions in the Sunnydale neighbourhood of Waterloo, it's an issue of per- ception, rather than inaction, ac- cording to one property manag- er. Amanda McKenna, who took over the role of property manag- er at 519 Sunnydale Place in No- vember, says the community seems to be held back by both in- ternal and external prejudice against the neighbourhood. "It's the mentality that it's 'just Sunnydale,'" said McKenna. The lack of respect, McKenna says, was on full display in mid- March when there was a break and enter at a neighbouring unit.
