Ingrown toenails are a fairly common and painful condition. The nail grows and penetrates the skin leading to irritation, pain and infection. There are many different treatment methods available to treat ingrown toenails but the procedure that we offer is considered the safest, simplest, and has the lowest recurrence rate. Patients do not require sutures, they can bear weight immediately after the procedure and the complications are minimal. We also offer corrective prodedures for people that have had this procedure done with poor cosmetics results or regrowth issues. R 00 13 98 45 75 R 00 14 95 74 84 A new medical and com- mercial development is slated for the north end of King Street North. The development, called Maple Tree Landing, will be constructed at 651 Colby Dr., the former home of GHD Group. When completed at the end of 2019, the develop- ment will see a completely reconfigured 24,000- square-foot existing build- ing, which will house med- ical offices and auxiliary services, as well as two oth- er buildings and a parking lot in the middle. The en- tire development sits on 2.7 acres of land, which Rise Developments, the compa- ny in charge of the project, was keen on. "It's just a very dynamic city, and we like what's happening there. We like the growth, and we saw the upside in the real estate. Specifically, the King com- mercial corridor is very ac- tive," said Greg Appelt of Rise, adding that the drive- through traffic will be ben- eficial to the businesses that choose to open at that location, such as restau- rants or health-food stores. So far, a family-physi- cian clinic and a pharmacy have committed to opening in the existing building, and are more tenants are being sought. Construc- tion will not commence un- til at least 60 per cent of the space is leased. Cushman Wakefield, which is handing the lease agreements, is currently seeking medical users - physicians, chiropractors, physiotherapists, dentists and support service orient- ed retail - for the remaining space. MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT SLATED FOR NORTH WATERLOO PROPERTY ADAM JACKSON ajackson@ waterloochronicle.ca Maple Tree Landing, located at 651 Colby Dr., is expected to be complete by the end of 2019. The development will be focused on medical businesses, but will include other auxiliary services. RISE Developments/photo NEWS
