Residents requiring this service are asked to call 519-886-2310 should the need arise. An owner may use a plumber to clear the lateral; however, the City assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If it is determined that a chronic problem exists on the owner's section of the line, the City will direct the owner to correct it. Until repaired, further calls to that property will be at full costs to the owner. The City will endeavour to free all sewer blockages as soon as possible during normal working hours and at all other times if necessary, but does not guarantee a solution. The City assumes no responsibility for damages that occur from such blockages. The City of Waterloo is proud to provide this high level of service. If you have any questions or can provide additional information regarding your sanitary sewer lateral please call 519-886-2310. If the valve is located in your driveway and a repair is necessary, it will likely require excavating an area around the valve. An unsightly patch in your brand-new driveway could result if you do not call for an inspection! If an excavation in a paved driveway cannot be avoided, we will patch the area to the highest standard. However, we will not replace the entire driveway. Please call us three weeks prior to paving your driveway so that we may inspect any valve(s) that may be present. Do not assume your driveway contractor will arrange this! Many times they don't. Toronto-based pianist, organist, composer, arranger and educa- tor McLeod has a bachelor of Music Educa- tion degree from the University of Regina, and as well as Masters and doctorate de- grees from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He studied exten- sively with well-known jazz pianists and composers Bill Dobbins and Harold Danko at Eastman, as well as classical piano with William Moore and jazz-studies with Ed Lewis in Regina. McLeod's debut release Double En- tendre, was nominated for a 2012 Western Canadian Music Award for Jazz Album of the Year. His second release, Belaney's Se- cret was co-led with Montreal-based saxo- phonist Donny Kennedy and released in 2013. Joining McLeod and Donny on the re- lease are McGill faculty and Montreal- based musicians Frasier Hollins and Dave Laing. He has recently recorded material for a couple of new releases by Toronto- based musicians - saxophonist Alison Young and trumpet player John Pittman. The Stubble Jumpers feature McLeod on Hammond B-3, Ted Warren on drums and Kelly Jefferson on tenor sax. On Saturday, Barth, one of Canada's ex- citing emerging vocalists, performs at the Jazz Room. As a jazz singer, she is known for her emotional expressiveness and sen- sitivity. She delivers a lyric with intention, depth and authenticity while maintaining the playfulness of phrasing that comes from her instinctively instrumentalist- like approach to singing. While happy to keep it simple, she loves to stretch out into an explorative, improvisational adventure with her bandmates. Barth's innate musicality and versatil- ity have put her in increasing demand in a variety of settings as a featured artist and a session musician. She recorded on Canadi- an music icon Jane Sibery's albums "Ulys- ses Purse" and "Angels Bend Closer," and performed with Siberry at the launch of Ulysses' Purse in Toronto in 2016. The performance features Barth on vo- cals, Artie Roth on bass, and David Restivo on piano. The Grand River Jazz Society is an all volunteer organization. Volunteers are always welcome to help greet patrons at the door and generally assist in manag- ing the events. Friday and Saturday concerts start at 8:30 p.m. For more information visit kwjazz- room.com. MUSIC Trios on the playbill at the Jazz Room this weekend
