It is part of the debt that we owe to those who have gone before. The basic purpose and obligations of the Poppy Trust Fund are to assist Veterans and their families. You need not be a member of the Legion to qualify for benefits. Legion Poppy funds are available to assist qualified Veterans, ex-servicemen and their spouses/dependents with Emergency Financial Assistance that are related to the costs associated with food, shelter, and medical care, such as hearing aides, eyeglasses and dental care, among other programs. MAJOR DISBURSEMENTS JULY 1st, 2016 to JUNE 30th, 2017 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
