Claude Noecker was the son of Dr. C.T, Noecker. After Public and Secondary schools he attended the University of Toronto where he became an engineer. About 1900 [see note above] he was appointed assistant Town engineer under Charles Moogk. This appointment caused some difficulty because Moogk had no formal training for that position. When Moogk died in 1924, Noecker then assumed the title of Town Engineer which he held until his untimely death in 1946.
